Angraecum group from Africa and Madagascar regions. Flowers usually have a long nectory spur.  There are also a few South American members of this group such as Campliocentrum.

    This is an unregistered hybrid.  It's a seed cross and each seedling will exhibit slightly different characteristics while hopefully capturing the positive attributes of each parent. Aerangis fastuosa has a long nectary spur and Aerangis citrata tends to have many flowers on a long stem. The white flowers usually last 6 weeks.

    White flowers emerge in late winter and spring.  Usually 8-15 flowers emerge almost simultaneously to provide 6 weeks of display.  Flowers are reported to have a light citrus fragrance at night.  Plants can become specimen plants in 3-4 years resulting in multiple sprays of 1 inch flowers.  Plants are growing either in 2.5 inch pots.

     May be one of the prettiest Aerangis species since it is the only one with an orange color in center of flower.  Flowers tend to be creme colored and are ofter 1- 1.5 inches.  2.25" pots blooming size.

    Madagascar. Plants are found in the eastern, central, northern, and northwestern parts of the island at 350–3950 ft. (100–1200 m), 15–20  pure white blossoms are waxy, fragrant, and long-lived.  More than 1 inflorescence is usually produced at a time and are usually 18-20 inches long.  Small plants at maturity are 3-6 inches across.

    Double spikes on some Jan 2012- Darwin's orchid.  Also, known as the Star of Bethleham orchid as it oftern blooms around Christmas time. Darwin postuated the existance of a moth with a proboscus long enough to reach into the flower's 12 inch long nectory spur.  The moth was discovered 20 years after Darwin's death.  This is a monopodial epiphyte standing 10-12 inches high growing in baskets. Beautifully grown plants.
