North American Yellow Lady Slipper Orchid.   Just arrived and ready for spring blooming if vernalized (kept in a cool spot 32-38 degrees) May also be planted in garden.

Plants are packed in plastic bags with moss.  Plants need to be in hibernation for a total of 3 months during winter to bloom in the spring.  Plants may be kept in the crisper of the refrigerator until they can be planted in the garden in April, or they can be planted in bulb pans and kept at 32-38 degrees and taken to a sunny spot in the home or greenhouse where they will bloom.  Growing instructions are included with each order.
 This Lady Slipper orchid was rescued from a road construction project in Wisconsin.  They are blooming size and should bloom this spring 2012.
