Check out this Time Lapse of Stanhoepea nigripes opening. Flower started opening around 4AM and finished around 6AM. I suspect that some nocturnal pollinator would sense the aroma and investigate and effect pollination. The photo was taken by Rochester NY area photographer Ted Kinsman.
